It’s December and we’ve switched into full holiday mode here at Caliente Pizza & Draft House! All three of our locations in Bloomfield, Mount Lebanon, and Hampton Township will be bringing you a month’s worth of events that not only showcase our joy for the season, but bring you an opportunity to grab some swag, meet a pretty big beer personality, and, as always, wrap your hands around some of the best beers available.
As the final month of 2017 winds down and we get ready to wipe the slate clean, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for visiting Caliente throughout the year. We strive to deliver the best pizza, best beer, and best experience to you 365 days a year and without you, following through on that mission wouldn’t be worth it. We look forward to seeing you more in 2018 and sharing some incredible pies and adult beverages with you.

Saturday, December 9th | Special Tapping Time of 11:00am
Founders CBS Tapping – We mentioned the world-famous CBS release a second ago. Now, it’s time for you to get your lips on some! On Saturday morning at 11:00am, join us as we redefine ‘breakfast of champions’ and tap our keg of CBS. If you’ve ever attended one of our Founders KBS tappings, you know this is going to be one memorable party and, without question, the beer won’t last long. Canadian Breakfast Stout is an Imperial Stout brewed with a blend of coffees and imported chocolates, then aged in spent bourbon barrels that have most recently been aging pure Michigan maple syrup.

Lost Abbey/Port Brewing Christmas Flight Night – We’ve always been your #1 spot to grab Lost Abbey and Port beers in Pittsburgh and we are breaking out some special Christmas offerings on the 15th…beers you won’t find anywhere else in Pittsburgh! We’ll have a smattering of Lost Abbey/Port Brewing beers on tap at all three of our locations.

Prairie Artisan Ales Christmas Bomb Tapping – By now, the Christmas spirit bug has to have bit you in some way, shape, or form. But, if you need a little boost, how about checking us out right before Santa makes his appearance for a tapping of Prairie Christmas Bomb! It’s an American Double Imperial Stout with cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. All the makings of a great holiday wrapped up in one big 13% offering.

These guys have carved out an incredible niche for themselves, arguably bringing some of the best sour and wild ales Pittsburgh has seen to the area. We’ve been proud to partner with them to collaborate on The Plague in the past and will have a smattering of their beers on tap for you to experience tonight.

It’s been a wild ride over the past couple of months, but it’s all been worth it. We are happy to report our 4th location in Aspinwall is officially up and running! We couldn’t have done it without you. Your support and loyalty to Caliente has allowed us to bring our award-winning pizza and stellar tap lineup to four exceptional corners of Pittsburgh. We are truly excited to bring the Caliente brand to the Aspinwall and Fox Chapel communities and share our love of great food, great beer, and great times with everyone.
As is our M.O., we are kicking things off in Aspinwall this month with a special craft beer tapping. We’ve teamed up with our friends at Sly Fox to bring the first of their new Lemonade Wheat offering to Pittsburgh. Our Aspinwall store is getting the only barrel of this beer in the city until May and we are tapping it on Thursday, February 22nd at 7:00pm for your enjoyment. Representatives from Sly Fox will be in the house as well with swag and giveaways. Join us and be the first in town to taste this beauty.
