Caliente Pizza & Draft House announce new DIY calzone kits for at-home use
PITTSBURGH (January 11, 2021) — Caliente Pizza and Draft House has a new DIY kit available –
calzone kits.
“Our pizza kits were such a big hit last year, we decided to let home chefs try their hand at making another Caliente specialty: calzones,” said Regional Chef Eric Von Hansen.
The new Calzone kits include two dough balls, sauce, ricotta cheese, garlic butter, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella-Provolone blend, and a choice of two toppings. The kits are $24.95 each and are available for takeout and delivery. Want a cooking lesson on how to craft and bake the perfect calzone? Check out this tutorial from Chef Eric.
“DIY meals have been growing in popularity over the past few years and we get it – people love the combination of the convenience and the feeling of making a home-cooked meal,” said Nick Bogacz, founder and owner of Caliente Pizza and Draft House. “We hope these kits provide a fun and memorable way for families to get in the kitchen and create something with their loved ones.”
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Gretchen McKay featured Caliente’s Calzone kits in a recent story. Read her story here.
Caliente’s take-home pizza kits are still available for $22. The pizza kits included two medium pizzas, dough, sauce, cheese, seasoning and hand-picked toppings. Much like the calzone kit, instructions are located within.
